New members of the ETH Foundation’s Board of Trustees

Steffen Meister and Christian Wolfrum strengthen the ETH Foundation’s Board of Trustees in 2023 with their wealth of knowledge and many years of experience in finance and research.

Steffen Meister, who holds a Master’s in mathematics from ETH Zurich, was elected to the ETH Foundation’s Board of Trustees at the meeting of the Board of Trustees on 16 March 2023. He is a partner at the company Partners Group and Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors of Partners Group Holding AG. Steffen Meister is also the co-founder and Chair of the Board of Directors of Crossiety AG, a social media platform that simplifies dialogue between local communities and the authorities in Switzerland. In addition, he is a member of the Board of Directors of FAIRTIQ AG, a company providing technically advanced payment solutions for the public transport sector. He lives with his family in Kilchberg (Zurich).

 

Christian Wolfrum has been the new Vice President for Research at ETH Zurich since 1 January 2023. He is taking over this role on the ETH Foundation’s Board of Trustees from his predecessor Detlef Günther. Christian Wolfrum works in biomedicine, an interdisciplinary field of research that combines experimental medicine with methods from molecular biology and cell biology. He has been teaching and researching in this field as a professor at ETH since 2008. He heads the Laboratory of Translational Nutritional Biology and serves as the Director of Studies for the Health Sciences and Technology degree programme as well as for the Bachelor’s degree in Human Medicine, which he helped to establish.
