New members of the ETH Foundation’s Board of Trustees
Martin Schlegel and Eduard R. Dörrenberg bring their extensive knowledge of finance and industry to the Board of Trustees of the ETH Foundation and the ETH Foundation Germany.

Martin Schlegel
He has been Chairman of the Governing Board of the Swiss National Bank SNB since October 2024 and takes over the seat on the ETH Foundation’s Board of Trustees from his predecessor Thomas Jordan. Martin Schlegel has previously held various positions at the SNB, including head of the Singapore branch. Since August 2022, he was a member and vice-president of the Governing Board. Martin Schlegel is Governor of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for Switzerland and a member of the Board of Directors of the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) in Basel. He studied economics at the University of Zurich and received his doctorate from the University of Basel.
Eduard R. Dörrenberg
The CEO of the Dr. Wolff Group is strengthening the Board of Trustees of the ETH Foundation Germany. Since April 1998, the great-grandson of the company founder Dr. August Wolff has been Managing Partner of Dr. Kurt Wolff GmbH & Co. KG and since 2004 of Dr. August Wolff GmbH & Co. KG Arzneimittel. The mechanical engineer, who studied at ETH Zurich, holds an MBA from INSEAD and will complete the OPM program at Harvard Business School in May 2025.
