Graduates from ETH Zurich are at the forefront of driving technological progress and shaping a more sustainable world. This task requires more than just subject-specific excellence – increasingly, a holistic understanding of sustainability and ethics is necessary to address the major global challenges.
To integrate these essential interdisciplinary skills as a core component of education, ETH is launching the Sustainability and Ethics initiative.
Our goal
With a spiral curriculum, sustainability and ethics are to be systematically integrated into all phases of study. From the outset, students learn how to incorporate ethical and sustainable principles into their projects and research so that they can later develop responsible solutions that are not only technologically advanced but also sustainable and ethically sound – for the benefit of future generations.
Your support enables
- teaching formats that address sustainability and ethics during studies – from specific courses to debating clubs;
- the education of professionals and executives who possess in-depth knowledge and awareness of sustainability and ethics, which they can include when developing and evaluating solutions;
- last but not least, a contribution to a more sustainable and just world.
