UroPatch
Dr Kanika Dheman
Continuous bladder measurements without hospital visits
Chronic kidney disease, spinal cord injuries, and lower urinary tract symptoms affect more than one billion people worldwide. These conditions significantly increase the risk of urinary tract infections and acute kidney failure. Current measurement methods are invasive, inaccurate, or impractical for everyday use, causing symptoms to go undetected for too long. UroPatch aims to change this: a discreet, wearable patch measures urine volume and flow patterns precisely and in real time.
During the Pioneer Fellowship, Kanika Dheman will continue developing the miniaturized version of the wearable, validate it in a clinical setting, and prepare regulatory processes and pilot implementations.
