Paul Baade is working on a revolutionary manufacturing process based on a solid instead of liquid electrolytes. This makes it possible to adapt the design of the battery cell and produce the functional components in a single step; at the same time, power density is increased. By eliminating unnecessary production steps, battery manufacturing costs are cut and charging times reduced.
