Zurich Insurance Group supports public governance programme
From 2021, Zurich Insurance Group (Zurich) will support ETH Zurich’s CAS in Public Governance and Administration (CAS PGA). Over the next five years, Zurich’s commitment will allow scholarships to be awarded to 30 participants from low and middle-income countries.
The CAS PGA is one of the continuing education programmes offered by the Swiss School of Public Governance (SSPG) which is affiliated to the Chair of Negotiation and Conflict Management of Prof. Dr. Michael Ambühl. The course provides aspiring public sector decision-makers from around the world with the knowledge required to carry out complex management tasks successfully. The course, which was introduced in 2017, runs for two weeks every September.
So far, 64 students from 34 countries have benefited from the programme. Most of the students come from Africa and Eastern Europe. More than half are women.
The aim of the SSPG is to contribute to effective, rule-based public governance practices and to equip professionals for excellence in public administration. Prof. Dr. Michael Ambühl is Academic Director of the SSPG.
