Hexagon Group AG supports biodiversity conservation project

Hexagon Group AG aims to promote interdisciplinary research, teaching, and outreach for the conservation of biodiversity at ETH Zurich with a generous donation to the ETH Foundation.

The donation from Hexagon Group AG will primarily strengthen the BiodivX project, which develops new technologies to quickly and comprehensively determine biodiversity in rainforests. The BiodivX project brings together environmental systems science, biology, data science, and robotics. to help better understand complex ecosystems and develop more sustainable forestry and processing industries.

Hexagon Group SA offers merchandising, marketing, and logistics services to various industries, including mining, fertilizer, petroleum, petrochemical, and chemical sectors and wants to ensure that commodities can be produced and consumed in a responsible manner.

For this reason, the company invests a portion of its profits in causes that contribute to environmental protection and social causes. The support of ETH Zurich is another step towards achieving this goal by addressing global challenges through collaboration between industry and academia.
