The media landscape is being radically transformed. The boundaries between media producers and consumers are dissolving, while personalised content is becoming increasingly significant. Data science and information technology are playing a key role in this process.
Research and teaching will focus on the digital transformation of media. With a new professorship and a new centre for media technology, research and practical applications will be better integrated. ETH Zurich will examine the most pressing research and practical questions through close collaboration with industry partners.
