Personalized rehabilitation for stroke patients

SmartVNS is a portable, non-invasive neurostimulation system for rehabilitating patients who have had a stroke. The system is designed to be intuitive and user friendly. It has the potential to speed up recovery and reduce the number of doctor’s visits, thereby lowering costs. This novel technology, developed by Paulius Viskaitis and Dane Donegan, allows therapists to make quantitative assessments and to stay in constant contact with their patients via remote access. In this way, patients can also benefit from ultra-modern neuroscience-based rehabilitation from the comfort of their own homes.
