Heated textiles made easier and cheaper

Heated car seats, clothing and heat wraps: the heating mat developed by Fabian Schmid and Murielle Schreck boasts numerous advantages compared to conventional heating wires. The duo’s mats are produced like normal paper using natural fibers (cellulose) that are coated with copper. Thanks to this combination of heat-conducting copper and electrically insulating cellulose, qCella mats have the right level of electric resistance over their entire surface, which enables them to warm up evenly. The mats can be cut into any shape and can easily and cheaply be integrated into heated end products.
